First, lets point out the most important things about this Ross:??its CLEAN and organized! ??wide selection!??friendly staff!??big parking lotI like to come here when I feel like spoiling myself without overspending; thanks to their wider selection here at this location, I can always find some goodies here like my beloved Hello Kitty items, Betsey Johnson jewelry, and Harajuku Lovers bags. And for you Juicy Couture lovers, they have ample Juicy Couture purses, bags, and jewelry.Tip: this location does tend to get crowded during the weekends, especially Sunday afternoon around 1pm.
This place is like being in the ghetto. Its jumbled up and nobody gives a sh!t. I was trying to find a dress shirt and sizes and styles are all over the place. You may as well throw everything on the floor. Walking out the lines to buy this junk was long.Mr. Manager, open up more registers, you goon. Also the chicks working there are ugly and dumb. I wouldnt mind if they had big tits but they dont have any. Just big bellies and faces that look as though they may have been men in another life.
I am writing to complain about the quality of customer service at the Ross in LaCanada, California. ?I went there today, and when I was buying shoes, I noticed that the shoe had a green/organce stain on it. ?I tried to find a different pair without any stains, but couldn’t, so I asked the cashier for a discount. ?She talked to the manager (Rima), and came back and said that Rima refused to give a discount. ?I asked to talk to Rima personally and asked why she refused to give a discount, she said she couldn’t see the stain. ?I said well, maybe you need better glasses, in which case she started talking rudely to me in Armenian. ?There was obviously a stain on the shoe, both my friend who came with me, and the cashier, saw the stain. ?I think the customer service here was horrible, and the manager had no right to deny me the discount based on her pretended blindness. The customer service here is horrible!
I always enjoy shopping at this Ross. It’s not messy and disorganized like the other one I visited in Van Nuys. Ross in La Ca?ada has a big selection and it’s super organized. Yes, I have noticed that the employees often speak Armenian to each other but it really doesn’t bother me. The line can get long at times but it’s a small price to pay for shopping in a really clean and organized store full of bargains.
While I am not a frequent shopper at Ross, I was impressed by the on in La Canada. ?It is clean, organized, and has a big parking lot. ? In true Ross fashion wholesale jewelry, their prices are excellent and have a decent sale / clearance section. ?Makes hour long shopping trips with my wife just a little less painful.
Far from congested city centers and offering better AND WIDER selections than the other ross stores that you would find in the Glendale, Pasadena, or Hollywood areas. I go here to get my sports gear that I would use on hikes, runs, or gym. Its just cheaper to go here than hit up the bigger corporate sport stores and it doesnt matter unless it works for you in the fitness world. So have no shame at shopping at Ross, I sure don’t!
The only reason I give this store two stars is because it has a healthy selection of clothes. ?Otherwise, I would have given it half a star.I found it overpriced-, understaffed-, and way too messy — compared to a lot of other Ross stores out there. If you visit this store in the evening, don’t come alone. ?Have a buddy stand in the checkout line while you go look around. ?Check on him/her about 2 hours later, they should be about half way through the line by then.
This store definitely has LOTS of options… but you really need to be patient to go thru all the racks upon racks of clothing. ?Some Ross’s are a straight mess, but this one is much more organized than most. ?I stop in on days to see if i can get lucky on an item or two and i almost always do.. they have a great purse and luggage selection…. also lots of great shoes.. there’s something for everyone here!
Imagine if two trains going 100mph collided. One train contained immigrants from every country.*The other contained cheap clothing and housewares.Welcome to the Glendale Ross.*Nothing against immigration, etc. Most of us have immigrant blood. Except me. My ancestors were forced over here / nearly wiped out by Columbus’ folks / ?invisible martians. ?So there.
OK, so when I signed up for a Yelp account I pledged to be honest and helpful. When I decided to review this Ross vintage pocket watches, I felt a flinch of mischief, because I wasn’t sure that I wanted to tell everyone how great this store actually is, so I am really surprised by the negative reviews. In my opinion, this is one of the best stores that I have been to– I encountered a better Ross only in San Francisco. You won’t find the atmosphere of a high end department store Men’s Jewelry, ever– because it’s Ross (Dress for Less but spend hours sifting through the racks). That’s just how it is, along with pushy crowds, clothes on the floor, indifferent employees, and sizes jumbled everywhere. Although, I have to say, this place is pretty good about keeping their sizes where they should be. Usually you have to look through ALL the racks hoping to find your size. Now, onto the merchandise. They have a really good selection of dresses and a decent one of shoes. Last time I was here I found a $200 silk previous season’s “hit” dress for 20 bucks. Along with amazing platform ?Michael Kors and Vince Camuto shoes for about $30. Today they had a whole bunch of designer $150 dresses for $40. ?I have the hardest time finding a well-fitting dress, and I actually found one that I love. Usually, I leave Ross stores empty-handed, after having tried on a gazillion things, regretting going there in the first place. Not so much with this store.
The high score is because the goods in this store are GOOD. Have you ever been to a Ross/Marshalls/TJ Maxx/Nordstro Rack and left with a feeling of disappointment? There’s a ton of good sh*t in here. I came here looking for a dress to wear to a wedding and tried on about 10 before whittling it down to 1. The dress section is HUGE..yes, you have to flip through the racks but there’s 4-5 dresses of women’s dresses and juniors dresses also. The shoe section is also pretty large and has a lot of 7’s and 8’s…(and 5’s, these stores always have so many 5’s.) A lot of pretty shoes here.and Yes, there seems to be a lot of immigrants and maybe a lot o the ?workers are Armenian but it’s California, what do you expect? (Ray L , Jackie H: I’m talking to you) If you want to be in a sea of white americans…welll I don’t know where you should go, Kansas, Utah, Missouri, Nebraska? The workers at Ross that I encountered were courteous. The workers at Ross aren’t there to help you find your size..They’re putting merch out, and the cash wrap, attending to fitting rooms and cleaning up the aisles. If you came to Ross to get customer service, maybe you should leave and go have some fine dining at McDonalds while you’re at it.The line is long because people want to buy things on discount. There’s lots of people at Ross because it has a lot of stuff to sell…but there’s usually 5-6 cashiers so it doesn’t take that long.
Love this store. For a Ross it’s really organized..
This is definitely one of the better Rosses. ?It’s Ross – you’ll get a pile of clothes here and there, but the selection here is pretty good. ?The boxed merchandise has a lower crumpled box-to-new box ratio than most. ?During allergy season, I can’t go in without a mask. ?But that’s true of all other Rosses too.
Not a good place to shop. The workers are rude, rude, and rude. ?By the way did I say the workers are rude? (Note: I am referring to the Armenian workers only the 2 other non Armenian workers were really nice and helpful) It feels like you are in Armenia, that’s all they speak, I thought Ross was a store in the Good Ole US of A, Guess not!!!! ?Either the workers are busy talking about the customers in Armenian, or they are busy yelling at the 2 non Armenian workers. ?I also watched an Armenian customer place 2 smaller luggage’s into a larger one took it to the cashier, greeted the cashier in their language and watch the cashier charge for the one large luggage and not even look or charge for the other 2 smaller luggage. There were price tags on the smaller luggages because I was looking at one of them. ?So the moral of the story here is there is only good service and great discounts if you are Armenian. If you are not Armenian then go to the “Back of the Bus”. In an economy that has been destroyed, one would wonder why a store like Ross would not try to prevent thief?Don’t go where you are not welcomed, go anywhere that wants your business and will treat you as such.
this is a tight store..there is a lot of stuff at this ross. it’s kinda chaotic. if you have time to sift through the long racks you probably will find a lot of good stuff..it’s quite overwhelming..i don’t known if it’s always this fully stocked or i just happened to come in on a good day..i do however remember it having a lot of stuff the last time as well. i came here for one thing and one thing only, a pizza stone. i ended up leaving with a pair of pants as well but whatever..sometimes ross just really pulls through like that. anyways, found the pizza stone. the home section of the store is pretty disastrous. ?there is just shit everywhere and stuff stacked messily on shelves. pizza stone boxes were in two different aisles just kinda stacked in between cutting boards and boxes of other random house hold things like reject rachel ray fondue http://sets.it actually made for quite a strenuous task. it was almost like a mission in a war zone really…in any case, i found what i was looking for and then some. marshalls and tj maxx did not pull through…booooooo..so ?4 stars, thank you ross.
You will find great deals on name brand items Like a juicy bag for 89.99 good deal or a cute guess tank top $13 great prices . The lines are toooooo long you shop for one hour your in line for one hour .lol . I guess it’s worth it.
i found a few things, and i was tempted to wait in the disneyland line that snaked through the store, but i wasn’t feeling the connection with the rug and dog bed enough to wait it out. have they heard of opening up a new register?
I love the fact that when you go in the store the manager and security greet you . I have found the best deals and it is pretty organized .
This Ross ROCKS!! ?Ok, so it’s not the cleanest store but all the Ross stores are the same so get over yourselves. ?The shoe and dress selection is awesome and the Armenian ladies are VERY NICE despite what you read here and i should know because i have been in here every week for the last several years.
This is one of the better Ross locations. Yes, people can complain that it’s cramped and that the home goods selection is a mess but for whatever reason you can find items here that aren’t available at other Ross locations. I was looking for two specific things, a trash can with a cover for the bathroom and a storage box. There were plenty of these at other Ross and TJ Maxx’s but they were either too expensive, banged up, or ugly. I decide to drive out to La Canada specifically to visit a candle shop and this Ross. It was crowded and messy but I don’t understand why people don’t expect that at a discount merch store. Anyway, I get sidetracked by all the candles but ended up in the bed and bath section. I thought I wasn’t going to get anything until I ended up in what I call The Final Aisle. The Final Aisle is where merchandise goes to die at Ross lol Everything is clearance, last call, rejected, may be damaged or defective items that probably won’t be bought. But I always go down this aisle just in case there’s a gem. That day there were two and it was the exact two items I was looking for! Item #1 was a trash can. I recently decorated my bathroom in a Venetian pattern I got from Sears, all clearance items before Christmas. It’s a blue, brown, and cream color scheme. The Final Aisle had a fantastic large trash can with a swinging top in this metallic goldish brown. Absolutely perfect and it was under $10. Only problem was I could see why nobody bought it. The lid is supposed to snap on the top of the basket and it doesn’t quite fit. ?The shapes don’t quite match. ?A bit of quick thinking and I realize if I duct tape the inside of the top where it meets the basket it will stay on. Bingo! Got me a trash can. Item #2 was a storage container. I could have gone to Target or somewhere and bought a Sterlite box but I wanted something a little nicer and not see-through. Ross had in the main area many many banged up faux-wooden boxes that weren’t worth the money in my opinion. But here in The Final Aisle were two plastic decorative storage boxes with snap-on lids. Perfect size, one had a cute design I liked, and it was under $5. Bingo! Got me a container. I get in line and surprisingly the wait wasn’t that long. My cashier was a very friendly older Armenian lady who told me she bought an even larger version of my trash can for her kitchen. Security was friendly as I walked out. You really can’t ask for more at a store like this. I don’t expect to come out of Ross every time finding exactly what I wanted but even better every time, but experiences like this keep me coming back. You just never know what you’ll find. Make sure to go when you have some time to shop. It may take a while to find exactly what you need and it’s very easy to find other stuff that interests you. So, four months later and the trash can I MacGuyvered with duct tape is still in my bathroom and the storage container is still in use. Crazily enough I looked up the name of box that I bought and it’s some European brand that you can’t get in America. How it ended up in Ross I’ll never know! Thanks Final Aisle!
