Phil Hellmuth, Huck Seed, Faraz Jaka, Michael Mizrachi, Jason Mercier and Annette Obrestad are just a few of the 137 players who have taken their seats in the ￡10,000 buy-in event, but for this very small moment of time, I’m more interested in seeing the result of Event 4, the first heads-up tournament at WSOP Europe. Ram Vaswani, Jim Collopy, Gus Hansen and Andrew Feldman were the four men left standing with the bracelet within reach. Vaswani is the only one of the four that already has a bracelet to his name. Hansen, on the other hand, is constantly given the honor of being one of the best players without a bracelet. Jim “Mr_BigQueso” Collopy has had an impressive online career to say the least.

These ‘name bracelets’ are very popular there and can be made just for you in five minutes. For $5 each I got two for Eva; one said EVITA (her full name) and the other one said NO PEAS (she is severely allergic to peas, yes, peas). She went nuts when I gave them to her (no, she is not allergic to nuts). I couldn’t believe it when I heard that these sweetest little hats are being sold for $15. Can you imagine how much time it takes to make one? I thought they were adorable. The people were so nice and always willing to help. I even noticed that they treated homeless way nicer than they are being treated here on the east coast. They were offered water at restaurants and weren’t being charged to ride a bus. Well, of course we had the famous clam chowder in a bread bowl down at the bay. Yumm. And spoiled ourselves the entire time with countless cups of gelato and bubble tea.
